Telephone numbers for contacts

Hi

I have just had two or three contacts in succession who do not have their own direct dials.

However, the switchboard number does not show and you have to go back to the client record and find the number there.

It would be really useful to have a number if only the switchboard number from the branch or site he or she is at.

In this world of click counting, this process is not really efficient.

Perhaps if one of the drop downs for phone numbers was "switchboard" and it populates the field with the
 switchboard number from the company record but ideally from the site switchboard number if that was entered.

  We can overcome this by navigating to the client record, copying the number and then pasting it into a work telephone number field but to do that for each and every contact who does not have a DDI is a real pain.

   

  To put this into context. the client address is shown but it's not the branch or site address an individual is located at.  The address is rarely used in comparison to the phone number.

  Perhaps, in the absence of a DDI the company switchboard number could be added automatically (provided of course the branch switchboard number could be used if it was present).

  Note:  I believe that might be an issue because site numbers are added in notes. 

   

  Not meaning to be unfair to HRS but this is something that would really make the call processes easier but that all other packages seem to have this nailed already.   It would be great if this found it's way into the next update Please ;-)
