Homepage Alphabetical "Tab" search – Previously I could simply click on the tab at the top and it would automatically put the search in alphabetical order rather than entering the sort filter tab?

I am assuming you mean the sorting of list records, is that correct? Currently sorting is delivered on list views and has been built into the popover to ensure that the layouts remain as uncluttered as possible and allows both ascending and descending sort options.
