It would be great to see more than Skype for business connectivity.
Synety is available with most platforms but they doubled their pricing in 2014 (from recollection).
I am not expert in this but Twilio seems to offer amongst the best prices.

Please note that the status has changed to 'planned' already, indicating that we have an update planned for the next release, providing additional outgoing VOIP calls from HRS Connect. This means that as long as you have SIP details you should be able to make calls, in addition to the existing Skype integration.
We are not aware of a need for a Skype server, as our integration works purely at a desktop application level.
We expect to deliver this update in Q1 2017.

Thanks for your suggestion, we are currently finalising the next release of HRS Connect. Once that has been released we will be assessing the features of the following release. At that point we will be able to update you on those features and whether your request will be added to that release.
In the meantime, we will be releasing the feature set of the next release in the coming weeks and we are very excited about the additions that we plan to release before the end of the year.

Permanently deleted user We are trialling Skype personally but Skype server is need and our IT guys are supposed to be getting back to us about this.
It's odd that we have a programme on a desktop that cannot access TAPI.
If that happened we could use that for now. But we can't use TAPI.
